2024 News & Warm Greetings
From Rach & Jake
We hope you’ve all had a lovely and relaxing Christmas & New Year period! Whether you had time off with family, or continued training and working throughout this time, hopefully you’ve had the chance to relax and refocus, ready to bring in 2024 and embrace new challenges.
For us here at OneFive, 2024 brings big change! As our members know, we have outgrown our trusty, little backyard gym and are ready for a larger location. We’re quietly working hard behind the scenes to make this happen. Hopefully we’ll be announcing a moving date later this month (fingers crossed)!
We absolutely cannot wait to see what 2024 has in store for our OneFive members. We know it will be filled with community growth, fitness goals achieved, milestones reached, and healthier, happier and fitter versions of ourselves. Here’s to an incredible year ahead at CrossFit OneFive!

How long have you trained at CrossFit OneFive?
Started training in January/February.
What made you choose OneFive and what keeps you motivated to come back?
I was recommended to go and what keeps me coming back is the variety in workouts; but most importantly the culture and comradery.
Your current goals?
Currently working towards unassisted pull-ups post shoulder injury for a movement goal and increasing my long-distance running endurance.
Favourite movement:
Deadlifts
Least favourite movement:
I don’t really have one currently – used to be burpees but they’re improving so I don’t hate them anymore.
Can you share a personal success story or achievement since joining our gym?
I’ve recently been able to open and wear the jeans from “that” drawer – i.e. those I used to wear before having children.
What music do you like to listen to while working out?
Something with a solid beat – faster the better for cardio.
Favourite food?
Soft cheese and charcuterie.
Any advice for people thinking about starting?
Just do it! It might be tough at the start but everybody has to start somewhere and before you know it, you won’t be able to live without it.
